Inside the Feature: Smarter Dispute Resolution
1. The Auto-Fill Evidence Engine

The moment a Stripe dispute is opened, Synctrack automatically compiles your Shopify order data and tracking history. When you open the dispute to respond, 70% to 80% of the evidence fields are already filled in for you:
- Tracking number & carrier name (matched exactly)
- Shipping & delivery dates
- Customer details (Name, email, billing/shipping addresses, and purchase IP)
- Product descriptions
2. The “Draft-First” Safety Net
Because Stripe only allows one submission per dispute, mistakes are costly. Synctrack lets you save your progress as a draft. You can exit, gather more info, and review everything carefully before committing your final response.

3. Smart Alerts
Never let a deadline slip by again. Synctrack keeps you on track with active dashboard countdowns and automated email alerts sent at 48 hours and 5 minutes before the submission window closes.
⚠️ Good to Know Before You Start
- No Links Allowed: Card networks do not click external links. All evidence (proof of delivery, terms of service) must be uploaded as real file attachments.
- File Limits: Keep your text under 150,000 characters and total attachments under 4.5 MB.
- Stripe Permissions: To upload evidence, your Stripe API key needs Files: Write access. If it’s missing, Synctrack will show a helpful banner to guide you through updating your key scopes.
How to Submit Evidence in 3 Steps
- Open the Dispute: Click on any open dispute from your unified Synctrack Dispute List.
- Review & Refine: Click Submit Evidence. Review the auto-filled fields (tagged clearly so you know what came from Shopify), fill in any blank slots, and upload your physical attachments.
- Send or Save: If you aren’t ready, click Cancel to save your progress as a draft. If you are ready, click Submit to send the finalized packet directly to the bank.
Need to concede a charge? Simply click Accept dispute. A quick two-step confirmation ensures you never accidentally accept a chargeback by mistake.
Help Us Shape the Future (Beta Notice)
This feature is currently marked with a BETA tag in-app. The core system is fully built and active, but we want real merchant disputes to prove its power.
We want to hear from you: Where does this new workflow save you the most time, and what can we improve to make managing your store even smoother?
