Origins & Evolution
ParcelForce began as Royal Mail’s parcel division in 1986, rebranded to Parcelforce in 1990 following a major IT and infrastructure upgrade, and took on the “Worldwide” suffix in 1998 to reflect its expanding global reach.
The organisation now relies on 54 UK depots and three high-capacity hubs—two in the West Midlands and one in the North West—capable of sorting tens of thousands of parcels per hour.
